This Is Where We Get Off, Websters Theatre
Saturday, 11 February, 2023 7 p.m. – 9 p.m.
Websters Theatre, 416 Great Western Rd, Glasgow G4 9HZ
This Is Where We Get Off follows the Moffatt family through some of the most difficult days of their lives. Yvonne is seven months pregnant, her husband Phillip is constantly disappearing and leaving dodgy phone bills behind. Their eighteen year old son Lip is debating joining the army and trying to navigate his love life, and their dog-breeding, sex toy selling neighbour Rhonda is still doing her weekly shop in their kitchen. How will they cope with the unexpected arrival of an estranged family member.
“This Is Where We Get Off is the debut of Glasgow-based theatre company HI! Productions. It is a reminder of how theatre can, and perhaps more often should, be done.” – Binge Fringe
“A confident, hilarious play full of truth and heart – I loved it.” – Susan Nickson (The Creator of Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps)
