106 Torrisdale St, Glasgow G42 8PH
Henry Bell, Sara Shaarawi and Lorna Morgan
Poems for Palestine launch will be at McNeil’s pub in Govanhill on July 18th at 7.30pm with readings from Henry Bell, Sara Shaarawi, David Lees, Katherine Mackinnon and Tickle, and music from Doctur Normul. Donations on the door.
The pamphlet has been created to raise funds for Palestinian prisoners in Israel’s jails. All proceeds will go to ADDAMEER Prisoner Support and Human Rights Association, which offers free legal aid to Palestinian political prisoners, and campaigns to end torture.
If you can’t make the event but would like a copy please send £10 (plus £1 postage if you can spare it) to henryjimbell@gmail.com on paypal. And send a note of your address.
There are currently more than 9,000 Palestinians in jail. More than 200 of those are children. This is an event in solidarity with every one of them and dedicated to all those struggling for liberation.
Victory to the Palestinian resistance.
