The Lost City of Z
31 March – 6 April, 2017
GFT
Based on the true story of British explorer Percy Fawcett and his quixotic quest into uncharted realms of the South American jungle, searching for a presumed ancient civilization. Refreshingly classical in its approach, director James Gray refrains from adding superfluous escapades and instead honours the Fawcett family’s real story of physical risk, intellectual curiosity and individual daring. Exquisitely shot on film and superbly acted by a cast including Charlie Hunnam, Robert Pattinson, Sienna Miller and BAFTA Rising Star Tom Holland.
