Booked! Creative Writing Workshops with Allan Wilson

Creative Writing Workshops with Allan Wilson
Tuesdays 12th and 19th May
Parkhall Library
7:00 pm
Allan Wilson is one of the most highly regarded emerging writers in Scotland. His debut short story collection Wasted in Love was described as being ‘a terrific debut anthology’ by Tom Leonard and Alan Bissett said that Allan Wilson ‘might just represent the future of Scottish fiction.’ With accolades such as these it makes us all the more delighted that Allan is running two creative writing workshops for Booked.
“In these two sessions attendees will have the chance to develop their writing skills through a number of different writing exercises as well as through discussion of published short fiction. We will look at a number of short stories with the aim of using these to develop our own writing. Classes are suitable for those already writing or for beginners who’d like to have a go. All attendees will finish the course having completed a short story.”
