Black Hearted Press Christmas Comics Class CCA Sun 14 December

Black Hearted Press
Christmas Comics Class
CCA
Sun 14 December 2014
Comic Making Workshops with BHP and Rossi Gifford Comic Creators
Instead of the usual workshops that consist of making Christmas cards or decorations, this class would be dedicated to the understanding and production of comics. Storytelling, developing characters and a style to display the narration will be explored alongside basic comic production and getting an insight of how different comics can be made. The theme does not even need to be Christmas based, any genre can be used. You will explore establishing a character for your story and experimenting with different concepts for your ideal figure, as well as studying other art styles and inspirations in the comic scene in Scotland.
The class will be split into three groups – one focuses on the beginning, one on the middle and third on the end of the story. We will work together on a character and a scenario then you can convey the story in your own style and layout.
