In this special event, those who knew Mandela offer their recollections about the man and the crusade for his release.
When Glasgow became the first place in the world to grant Nelson Mandela the freedom of the city and name a public space after him, freedom was the last thing Mandela had. In this special event, those who knew Mandela, who campaigned on his behalf and who were inspired by both his moral courage and moral generosity, offer their recollections about the man and the crusade for his release. Chaired by the South African Honorary Consul, Brian Filling.
