Scottish Writers – Sheila Templeton: A Celebration
Tuesday, 30th April 2024
Come along to pay tribute and celebrate the life of the late Sheila Templeton.
This is an open and joint gathering alongside esteemed friends, St. Mungo’s Mirrorball where Sheila’s poetry sparkled many a night, and Federation of Writers (Scotland) where Sheila was the Makar from 2010 to 2011.
Sheila Templeton was an incredible performer. Her mesmerising and soothing voice enchanted audience members across the country. She was also a maestro of language and words.
Sheila was one of those spectacular individuals with immense talents equal to or even exceeded by her values as a human being. Sheila’s kind heart, curiosity and sense of fun were legendary.
“When looking at losses of my own, writing is what I do,” – Sheila Templeton in 2017 when asked about prefacing a eulogy for her mother.
Family, friends and writers are all welcome.
If you would like to pay tribute on the night, complete this form or email Scottish Writers
