About Ann MacKinnon
Ann is a poet ‘writing in both English and Scots, with a particular interest in the Scots language. I gained the Scottish Book Trust New Writers’ Award in 2014 and as a result of that I had a pamphlet in Scots, Nae Flooers, published by Tapsalteerie. Recently my poems have appeared in X – the anthology of the Scottish Wrters’ Centre – and Spindrift – the anthology of the Federation of Writers, as well as in New Writing Scotland. I was highly commended in the McCash Poetry Competition in 2018 and was joint winner in 2019.’ Scottish Book Trust
