Calligraphy for Beginners

24 August 2019 – 9.30am to 11.30am, 12 noon to 2pm, 2.30pm to 4.30pm
Calligraphy is the art of beautiful writing and as part of the Writing: Making Your Mark season Glasgow Scribes are running FREE workshops to let you try your hand at calligraphy.
At each 2 hour session a Glasgow Scribes member will introduce participants to broad-edged calligraphy for those who wish to learn or refresh their calligraphy skills.
All sessions will have 10 participants maximum. All materials will be provided but there is also an opportunity to purchase £1 bundles of calligraphy script (Money raised towards Glasgow Scribes funds)
Glasgow Scribes are a local calligraphy hobby group with members and visitors living within travelling distance of Glasgow. The group aims are:
– to promote the art of calligraphy,
– share and develop skills and ideas
– meet other calligraphers
– enjoy activities in a welcoming and friendly environment
