Govanhill Theatre Presents THE DOLL DOCTOR by Glenwyn Parry
14th – 19 May 20187:30pm – 9:15pm
The English language premiere of the ‘Saer Doliau’, translated by David Brown. Jones goes about his business mending dolls in his workshop until The Girl arrives unannounced. Taking control of running the workshop, she appoints an apprentice The Boy. Both play mind games unsettling Jones uprooting his settled way of doing things. Examining our obsession with modernisation, the role of women and the power women hold within our society, asking searching questions about our existence about our existence and beliefs.
