Uncovered Artistry: Let’s Talk, A Night of Readings at Project Cafe, 23 March, 2017

Project Cafe, 134 Renfrew Street, G3 6ST
Colin Herd, David Linklater, AK Thaysen and Kirsty Dunlop, as well as our guest poet, John Birtwhistle.
Fundraiser in aid of survivors of domestic and sexual abuse.
In the second of a series of fundraiser events hosted by Uncovered Artistry in celebration of creativity, we move to the joys of literature! We welcome a range of talented writers and poets to the Project Café to read their own work in an evening dedicated to literature, but held in support of the survivors of domestic and sexual abuse. Our readers are at various stages in their careers, from a multi-published, Eric Gregory Award winner to talented Creative Writing students that you shouldn’t miss embarking on their careers. We welcome four readers from the local Glasgow scene, Colin Herd, David Linklater, AK Thaysen and Kirsty Dunlop, as well as our guest poet, John Birtwhistle.
All money made from tickets will go straight to Uncovered Artistry, which is a non-profit that buys and sells the hand-made art, craft and jewellery made by the survivors of domestic and sexual abuse. Uncovered Artistry operates under the belief that creativity and the Arts can be empowering and healing processes. They are currently raising funds in order to continue to directly support the creative work of abuse survivors.
