Ages 18+
Catriona Lexy Campbell (playwright, novelist, and poet) hails from the Isle of Lewis, and has worked in Gaelic since early childhood. She has published four books: Balach Beag a Mhàthar (Acair), Sgeulachdan Eagalach Feagalach (Acair), Sàmhraidhean Diomhair (Comunn na Leabharaichean), and Cleasan a Bhaile Mhòir (Sandstone, 2009). Catriona is presently working on her next novel. Her poem Cinneas won first prize for Gaelic poetry at the Wigtown Poetry Festival in 2006. In addition, she is also an actor; Catriona has taught drama in schools throughout the Highlands. She currently works with the National Theatre Scotland.
Alison Lang is a writer and dramatist from Edinburgh. Her first book, Cainnt na Caileige Caillte (The Lost Girl’s Language), was shortlisted for the Saltire Society’s First Book of the Year award. Her new novel, An Aisling (The Dream), will be published by Acair Books in 2015. She is the Gaelic editor for Sandstone Press, which publishes the Lasag series of young adult novellas.
