Byres Road can't cope with the parade and it gets very rowdy in the late afternoon.  No good for children.  However, the cafes do a roaring trade and they pay a lot of rates so it is good to see them getting some benefit. 

I think cycling is becoming more popular.  I passed a cycling cafe in Partick the other day.  You can get your punctures repaired while you have a coffee.

There are a lot of barriers to women working and that includes poor child care provision for pre-fives.  A lot of women are also in low paid and part time positions because there are no after school servies.  This contributes to child poverty.  In an ideal world it would be great for children to be at home with their mothers/or fathers but the world does not work like that anymore.

The tablets are very useful and easy to transport.
