Glasgow Spooky Welly Walk 2013


Winter Gardens, Glasgow Green

Saturday 26th October

The Spooky Welly Walk is a fun family day out with a spooky twist. Dress the kids up, get your wellies on and have fun at this spooky themed trick or treat event.

Arrive and start walking anytime from 11am – 2pm

There will be lots of spooky surprises as well as ‘trick or treat’ stalls on the two mile family walk at the Winter Gardens, Glasgow on Saturday 26th October.

Smooth Radio will be there throughout the day with a disco and there will be plenty of activities to enjoy along the route.

£3 Each (£5 on the day)
FREE for under 2′s

To make the walk as fun and safe as possible, we suggest one adult who takes part should walk with no more than five children.

It’s all hallows eve and the spirits are on the move, forget things that go bump in the night…..forget pumpkins…… forget ghosts and ghouls and get your rattling burlesque bones along to the Shed for a night of humorous horror and the hottest of hellcats . Bringing the best tricks and treats in town Sarcassy presents the most hedonistic of Halloweens. Raising the devil with our haunted hostess are the hairy hurricane Billy Kirkwood, fire goddess Cat Aclysmic, asylum escapees Dignitas and Scotland’s very own naked Monroe, Poppy La Pilule. With acts still to be announced, let’s raise some hell.

This Halloween come and join us for this awesome new interactive, hyperactive kids comedy show in lab of laughter of the Stand Comedy Club Glasgow.

This special show hosted by “Mad Scientist of Mayhem” Billy Kirkwood in this Headspinning hysterical display of Halloween Hilarity featuring games, stand up, face painting, funny costumes and so much more in this all out silly comedy Spooktacular with special guests the insane in the membrane assistant Neil “The Wee Man” Bratchpiece and giggle some ginger bride of Frankenstein Eleanor Morton.

All this AND Prizes for best Halloween costume on the day!

Glasgow’s Street Food Cartel will be providing gastro movie classics such as hot dogs, pizza and pop-corn while spooky lighting and creepy music will set the scene for the ultimate Hallowe’en night out.

Movie goers will be able to hear the movie through their car stereo to get the full surround sound experience to accompany the world’s biggest mobile LED movie screen.

More spooky stuff at North Kelvin Meadow

The Children’s Wood Hallowe’en Special

31st October 4 p.m. – 8 p.m.

Performances from Tam Dean Burn, Emma Schad and Andy Alston.

For the first time the wood will be lit up and Children and families can enjoy the unique experience along with many other special activities. Actor, Tam Dean Burn will perform Julia Donaldson’s book Room on the Broom.

Children will get a sandwich and other treats courtesy of Tesco (who will donate most of the food) and The North Star Cafe (who will make up the dinner boxes.)

There will be Halloween activities for children. Parents from the German Kinderclub will be helping children to make bat, owl and ghost lanterns. These lanterns can be re-used on the 4th of November for the Lantern Parade at Glasgow University Chapel Park Ranger, Ian Lewis will be assisting children in making broomsticks. There will be halloween activity sheets for children to take home.

There will also be some great raffle prizes donated from Ae Fond Kiss, The Sentry Box and Barefoot Wigwam books. All of this and more.

The great news is that the event is FREE. We do hope that people will give a donation as this will help to cover the costs of lighting, and other resources which will make the evening a night to remember.
