Source - the new magazine for Scottish school leavers - is providing an incredible competition for secondary school students in Scotland.

Source are on the hunt for Scotland's new hottest talent who will be given the chance to have their passion inspired design on display in the window of the luxurious Frasers department store located on Buchanan Street, one of the busiest shopping streets in Scotland.

The winner will also receive an unforgettable week's work experience with one of Scotland's leading fashion stylists, Kelly Cooper Barr, a golf/ pamper day at the exclusive Loch Lomond Golf Club and £100 Frasers vouchers.

The competition involves the young adults designing an outfit inspired by something they feel passionate about. The 10 winning designs will be transformed into outfits and showcased at Source magazine's Passion for Fashion Show in aid of The Princess Royal Trust for Young Carers.

On the night of the fashion show, the winning designers or their friends will strut their stuff down the catwalk to impress the judges.

The judging panel, made up of Taylor Ferguson, Kelly Cooper Barr, and Jimmy Stephen-Cran, the head of textiles as fashion at Glasgow School of Art, will then select a winner who will receive the extraordinary prizes.

Taylor Ferguson says;

"'Today's young people are our most important investment for a positive future. On too many occasions we hear criticism about young people. This competition showcase is a first-class opportunity to celebrate and accentuate the positive."

Denise Connelly, publisher of Source comments:

"We are very excited about this project as we are hoping to raise aspirations of young designers by giving them a platform to showcase their designs, as well as raise money and awareness of The Princess Royal Trust for Young Carers, who offer support to young adults who care for their family members.'

Source magazine's Passion for Fashion Show is being held at Glasgow University Union on Thursday the 19th of March 2009, closing dates for entries is 5 February 09.
