About Carol Kidd

Carol Kidd, MBE, has been known in jazz circles since she was only 15 and since then she has gone on to win many awards and accolades and been awarded an MBE for her services to jazz. She started her recording career in 1984 and to date she has recorded 18 albums.

She is four times winner of The British Jazz Awards, The Cannes International Jazz Aawards, Best Album ' The Night He Called It A Day" and winner of Tartan Clef Music Award.

Her talents have opened up many doors to varied experiences: Carol was invited by the Chinese Government to perform in China in 1994 as 'The Ambassador for British Jazz'. Her signature song 'When I Dream' was No 1 in Korea for 13 weeks. She has received accolades from artists such as Tony Bennet and Frank Sinatra, the latter paid her a huge compliment when he invited her to appear with him at his Ibrox Stadium Performance in July 1990.

In Asia she is known as 'The Diva' and performs to capacity audiences - she's just returned from very successful concerts in Shanghai and Hong Kong.

JJ Gilmour originally enjoyed huge European success in the 1990s as lead vocalist with Scottish rock heroes The Silencers before releasing a critically acclaimed first solo album, "Sunnyside P.A.L" in 2002. In the last two years, he has signed a new management deal with the legendary Miles Copeland and supported or toured with such wide-ranging talents as Bob Geldof, Simple Minds, Ocean Colour Scene, David Bowie, and INXS.

"The boy who didn't fall", JJ's work was recorded and produced in October 2007 in Scotland by Graeme Duffin and Sandy Jones, the award-winning team behind the two-million selling hit "Love is all around" for Wet Wet Wet.

In recent years, JJ Gilmour has built up a staunch fan base across Europe, and is widely recognised as one of Scotland's most distinctive singer/songwriters, able to fuse moving, intelligent lyrics with melodic harmonies.
