The Great May Day Cabaret, Night for Chris Bartter, OranMor
Monday 7th May, 2018 show starts 7.30pm
Featuring another fantastic line-up, the seventh annual Great May Cabaret includes a tribute to founder member Chris Bartter, whose untimely death last October robbed the trade union movement of one of its great campaigners and supporter of the arts.
Celebrating international workers’ day will be: Scottish rapper, writer and commentator Darren ‘Loki’ McGarvey; singer-songwriter Rab Noakes; Gaelic songstress Maeve Mackinnon; comedian Susan Morrison and the second-best poet to come out of Ayrshire Jim Monaghan. Compered by Dave Anderson, with Fraser Speirs and Stephen Wright providing musical backing. With contributions from Richard Leonard MSP and UNISON’s John Stevenson.
