Riding the Commons, Glasgow Green

Sunday 23 March, 2025 – 12 Noon
Meet outside the People’s Palace, Glasgow Green, Glasgow G40 1AT
Once a year in towns in Scotland, citizens on horseback ride round their Boundaries to protect their common land from marauding robbers, as they have done since the 14th century.
In Glasgow we don’t have two horseshoes to rub together but come along and trot together around our ancient Green with bikes, skateboards, baby buggies, wheelchairs, hobby-horses or whatever we can cobble together. Protect our common land from modern-day robbers – like the Property Developers.
