I used to volunteer for the Local Oxfam in Wembley.
it wasn’t always pleasant..
but I would recommend volunteering for them to anyone that has spare time to use.
The staff at Byres Road are fantastic. Always smiling and the shop is very busy. It takes in more money than any other Oxfam Bookshop in the UK.
Waterstones is opening a new shop just across the road. I’m hoping that the shops will complement each other.
