Opening Time – A Play, A Pie and A Pint
Top of Byres Road, G12
Opening Time is Directed By Kirstin McLean
The people you meet at Opening Time in the pub are very different from those who are still there at Closing Time. But, it’s lockdown, and the guy hasn’t seen his community for over a year, finds himself shouting at contestants on Tipping Point, weeping along to the Repair Shop, and becoming worryingly interested in a guy who lives across the street, who comes out to the steps of the close for a smoke every half-hour, exactly. A story told in song, which wonders what The New Normal might look like…
Presented in Association with The Beacon, Greenock
