My Carbon Footprint – Workshop

Saturday 28 June, 2025, 1 p..m. – 2.30 p.m.
Advanced Research Centre, University of Glasgow, 11 Chapel Lane Glasgow G11 6EW
A hands-on workshop exploring how everyday choices impact the planet—and what small steps can make a big difference.
In the workshop, participants will be asked to turn climate action into something fun, colourful, and unforgettable!
In this hands-on workshop, they will explore how their everyday choices impact the planet—and what small steps can make a big difference. Kick things off with a playful “Guess the Footprint” game, where they will sort everyday actions into high, medium, or low carbon zones. After analysing their actions, they will roll up their sleeves for the highlight: dip their hand in eco-friendly paint, leave their handprint on our giant community pledge wall, and write their own carbon promise like “I’ll take shorter showers” or “I’ll bike more.”
They will decorate, reflect, and even snap a photo with their creation. It’s interactive, inclusive, and perfect for families, schools, or curious individuals. Not into paint? Younger kids can trace their footprint and pledge too!
Finally, they will be encouraged to understand that it’s not about being perfect—it’s about starting somewhere. Come and get inspired, get a little messy, and go home feeling proud.
This workshop is for all ages.
