Mika and Me Optical Studios – Exclusive Chanel Event

Tonight I enjoyed another very special event at Mika and Me. I took the opportunity to go along to their optical studio on Park Road to have a look at the new range of Chanel glasses and sunglasses on show exclusively at Mika and Me for one night only. The eyewear was stunning and the lively crowd, looking pretty smart, were enjoying being the first to admire and try the Chanel range for this year.

Barry and Victoria Hutcheon of Mika and Me are excellent hosts and the sparkling wine and cocktails were flowing. The couple are very popular members of the business community in Kelvinbridge, and I spotted some familiar faces who had come along to support the event.  It was fun to catch up with Michael and Ryan from Eusebi’s, one of my favourite West End restaurants, just along the road from Mika and Me.

It was lovely to see Susan Sheridan, from Blair and Sheridan, the fantastic jewellery shop on Great Western Road. Susan and I enjoyed a chat and had an excellent browse of the glasses on display. The tortoiseshell sunglasses were striking and I liked the glasses with the plain black frames and coloured legs, the pink particularly caught my eye.  It would be difficult to choose between them and the turquoise. Although, Barry, has previously informed me that in Japan, were he nurtured his trade, people have a range of glasses that they change with their outfits. It would be very tempting.

I’m sure Barry and Victoria must have been delighted at attracting so much interest in the event and people seemed thrilled with their very special purchases; knowing that they had a one off.

Can’t wait for the next exclusive event at Mika and Me.
