10am – 5pm, Free, Creative Lab
All ages
An exhibition of textiles by people with a diagnosis of dementia that use Alzheimer Scotland’s services at Oxford Street, Glasgow. The exhibition is a result of a residency by textile artist Deirdre Nelson, organised as part of Luminate, Scotland’s creative ageing festival, which runs from 1 – 31 October each year.
As well as showcasing the work, the exhibition offers visitors the chance to learn more about dementia and the support Alzheimer Scotland can offer. A Place to Sit has also been exhibited at the 24th Alzheimer Europe Conference ‘Dignity and autonomy in dementia’, held in Glasgow in October.
