Love Sarah, Glasgow Film Festival
29 February and 1 March, 2020
The screening on 29 February will be followed by a Q&A with director Eliza Schroeder and other key members of the cast and crew including Bill Paterson, Celia Imrie and Shannon Tarbet.
If you love Bake Off then you will delight in Eliza Schroeder’s bighearted drama where the delicious cakes almost steal the show. Following the tragic death of Sarah, her nearest and dearest set aside their differences to make her dream come true and open an artisan bakery in Notting Hill.
Shannon Tarbet stars as Sarah’s daughter who enlists the help of her mother’s best friend Isabelle (Shelley Conn), her estranged grandmother Mimi (Celia Imrie), and star baker Matthew (Rupert Penry Jones). They provide their multicultural clientele with a taste of home, finding peace, love and understanding along the way. As warm and cheering as a Paul Hollywood handshake.
