Lin is now best known as a tartan noir crime novelist, with forensic scientist Rhona MacLeod featuring in fourteen novels and a novella to date.
Lin was co-founder of the annual Bloody Scotland crime writing festival. She has also produced short stories, screenplays and much, much more.
