Jennifer, GFT, 30 April, 2017

A portrait of both Carmelite nun Jennifer and the enclosed monastery that she resides in, Nina Danino’s documentary film unfolds over the course of one day and allows the audience a glimpse into a world that is rarely seen from the inside. Jennifer reflects back on when she entered the cloistered community three decades ago, and allows the audience a chance to see her current ideal of work and prayer. A truly unique character, Jennifer is feisty, funny, quirky and a natural storyteller that gives audiences the chance to stop seeing the habit and begin to see the woman.
