Glasgow East Fireworks Special will run fdrom 11 a.m. until 10 p.m. with firework display at 7.30 p.m.

Those missing the official fireworks event on Glasgow Green this year could have a ready-made alternative with the Glasgow Fort set to host a fun Bonfire spectacular.

The Glasgow North East Fireworks Festival will take place on Sunday, November 5, and is a free-to-attend event with plenty of family fun on offer.

Running from 11am and finishing at 10pm, the festival will include the music of legendary R&B group, The Drifters and Motown, at 6pm ahead of the firework display taking place at 7.30pm. Other entertainment will consist of an enchanted princess pantomime, performances from local musicians, a live wrestling show from Iron Girders, and a host of rides and shows as part of the onsite funfair.

And don’t worry if you’re feeling peckish, there will also be a selection of pop-up food stalls for visitors to enjoy.
