Glasgow CND Commemoration Event

Glasgow CND is commemorating the 80th anniversary of the bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki at 11:30 on Wednesday 6th August in the Botanic Gardens at the new peace garden. The event will start with the Protest in Harmony Glasgow singers and then a few words from Jean Anderson, Chair, Glasgow CND and David Peutherer.
A short ceremony will be followed by the launch of the Lord Provost’s Peace Garden by Lord Provost Jacqueline McLaren. There will be short speeches from representatives of the Council, the Botanic Gardens and Glasgow CND. And then refreshments in the Kibble Palace accompanied by music from the Glasgow Chorus choir.
Everyone is welcome.
