Winner of an Audience Award at Sheffield’s Doc/Fest, Still the Enemy Within presents first-hand accounts of the 1984/85 Miners’ Strike from those who most felt its toll. The film prompts an interrogation not only of the state of unions now, but also at the mental and physical impacts of lack of job protection. A post film discussion will see union and health services representatives discuss the film and consider the role of work in sustaining and improving health and wellbeing.
