*******19:30-21:30 SPOKEN WORD AND MUSIC EVENT********
‘A Word with Us’ has been organised by One Day Without Us Glasgow in support of the One Day Without Us: UK National Protest and will host performances from a diverse range of migrant writers and musicians living, working and studying in Glasgow and their supporters.
By sharing this space and our words, we want to subvert the ways the label ‘migrant’ has been weaponised to divide us and use it to find solidarity across our differences in song, story and poetry: from asylum seekers to family members, international students to EU workers – we ask you to join us in affirming diversity, celebrating our shared humanity and standing up for migrant rights.
We particularly want to welcome writers in the asylum process and will be raising funds for their transport costs and for organisations that support them such as LGBT Unity Scotland and Refuweegee
Message us if you are interested in performing 🙂 but there will be an open mic available on the day too

Free for those in asylum process
Otherwise £3 donation
