Peggy Seeger 90th Birthday Farewell Tour, Cottiers
15 May, 2025
Cottiers, 93-95 Hyndland St, Glasgow G11 5PU
Peggy Seeger with Neill and Calum MacColl
Peggy Seeger, the grande dame of American and British Folk music, embarks on her last ever concert tour alongside her sons, Neill and Calum MacColl as she celebrates her 90th Birthday in June 2025.
Peggy has been performing for more than 75 years and will showcase some of her best loved songs from across her extraordinary career, as well as new songs from her final album (out Spring 2025). Her songs remain uncompromising, and her wit and delivery are as sharp as ever.
Neill and Calum MacColl are superb musicians, sharing unique onstage chemistry with their mother. Expect whip-smart humour & family banter, blood harmonies and audience participation, alongside world-class musicianship.
This will be the last opportunity to hear Peggy in concert – not to be missed!
“Peggy Seeger inspires; as funny, feisty and angry as ever” The Guardian
“Peggy’s a vital presence, ready with a quip or a homily … Through their warmth, unity and ease of communication, she and her sons reaffirm folk song’s status as the bringer of news and its ability to address any issue.” The Times
“Folk music with a raunchy wink; think Victoria Wood meets Dory Previn. Peggy imparts her wise and optimistic worldview with joy and a wonderful lightness of touch – a masterclass in storytelling through music.” Daily Telegraph
On the door tickets are £32.00
