What is the ARC? Why was it built, and why was it designed this way? What is the purpose of this building? What’s in it for me?
Get behind the scenes of the exciting new Advanced Research Centre, located in the city’s West end in the site previously occupied by the Western Infirmary.
Exploring the history of the site and memories of the Western Infirmary, and the design and architecture of the new building. Also sharing some of the cutting-edge research happening in the building and how communities can get involved.
This event includes a performance of ‘arc’, a specially-commissioned poem to celebrate the opening of the building, by UNESCO artist-in-residence Tawona Sithole.
This event is recommended for audience 16 or above.
