Summer Art Sessions Woodlands Community
Wednesday, 8th July, 2020 at 2 p.m. (And three following Wednesdays at 2)
Families and Children
Sam Macgregor is a local artist, who offers workshops based around the environment and recycling through her company Funk-yard Arts. She is currently training to become an art therapist with an interest in how making art can impact positively on mental health and well-being. She is delighted to be working with Woodlands Community Gardens on this project to offer nature inspired arts activities for children who live locally to the area.
After so many weeks spent in lock down, the workshop programme provides an opportunity to get together with other families and children online for the sessions and to get creative with a range of materials. It also encourages families to spend time outdoors gathering some of the natural materials being used. The art packs will provide the other necessary materials and there will
also be information sheets for those who cannot attend the online sessions.
Format:
Pick up an art pack from Sam Macgregor at Woodlands Community Garden the day before the art session (Tuesdays between 1-4pm)
Woodlands Community Garden, 91 – 111 West Princes Street, Woodlands, Glasgow G4 9BY
Wednesdays: Join Sam on Zoom (links will be provided before each session) or use the worksheet provided and make the art in your own time.
