Strathclyde Suite, Royal Concert Hall, 2 Sauchiehall Street, G2
31 January, 2017 – 8pm
This show invites the audience to come and witness the opening chapter of Kirsty Law’s exploration of the concept of the ‘inner child’ through folklore, song and film.
Working with filmmaker Daniel Warren, producer Ben Seal and painter Kirsty Whiten – whilst flanked by acclaimed musicians on the Scottish music scene including Rona Wilkie on fiddle (BBC Scotland Young Traditional Musician of the Year 2012), Esther Swift on pedal harp (Twelfth Day), Marit Fält on Nordic mandola (Vamm) and Owen Curtis Williams on drums (The Pictish Trail, Eagleowl, Two Wings), Law presents a performance full of child-like tenacity, darkness and intrigue.
This gig is part of a double bill with the MacMath Collective.
