Had a quick look this morning:

Territorial Army Centre, Yorkhill Parade in 1989.

Undated.jpg

And from the same area:

The imposing Head Quarters in Yorkhill Street of the 15th (Scottish Volunteer) Battalion of the Parachute Regiment, successors of the 6th Battalion of the Highland Light Infantry. (Undated)

If them's meant to be weans in the b&w pic, then they're freak weans or ghost weans or something...

I know that building well. The proportions are all wrong - don't make any sense.

Izzat second pic of the building that's opposite where The Goat is now? Opposite the corner of Argyle St and Kelvin Way?

Also recall a TA-type building on the corner of the street I bought my first flat; Hotspur at Garrioch Rd.

Still there I think.

Think there's another one up near Wilton Street?

How come they've got all these fancy buildings?

...Eh??

Naw!

'Opposite the Goat' is either: the Islay Inn, (new refurbished & lovely), the Radnor Street surgery, and a gap site currently gettin built on.

This building is way up the back and doon the bottom of Yorkhill.

No, it's in Yorkhill - you pass it on what I call 'the back route', cuts out the traffic lights.

You pass it on the way to where? It's on a dead end.

Not on this map

Yorkhill street

and this behind or maybe opposite The Goat

I don't care about your map. I repeat - it's not on the way to anywhere; it's a dead end. I am well familiar with the building and the area.

The pic you posted also is irrelevant.

I used to live in the building at the bottom of Yorkhill Street. Some people use this route to get away from jams along Argyle Street and pop out near the proposed Tesco site at the bottom of Byres Road. Bit of a long diversion but one nonetheless.
