Dirty God GFT
7 – 13 June, 2019
Dutch writer-director Sacha Polak’s English language debut emerges as a powerful, haunting tale of the vast divide between surface beauty and internal worth. A vicious acid attack leaves young mother Jade (an extraordinary Vicky Knight) with half her body covered in scars. Her daughter calls her a ‘monster’, strangers abuse her, and physical intimacy seems to have been confined to the past. Losing herself in the South London club scene, a defiant Jade embarks on a drastic, often dangerous path towards rebuilding her life. GFF19
