Tuesday 25 November, 2025 – Dahomey-Booking and Information at Eventbrite
Tuesday 16 December, 2025 – All We Imagine As Light – Booking and Information
Come and be a part of Woodlands Community monthly Anti-Racist Film Club! Screening a range of moving, educational and engaging films that centre aroun the lives of People of Colour. These films have been carefully curated by their Anti-Racist Library Co-Ordinator, Sapna Agarwal.
All adults are welcome to these screenings that take place in Flourish House, 23-25 Ashley Street. Glasgow, G3 6DR, (a 5 minute walk from our Woodlands Community Meeting Room).
The Anti-Racist film club aims to be a place of support and belonging for People of Colour and a place where white allies can take responsibility for their own learning.
After each screening there will be time to discuss the film and surrounding issues. The aim is to raise searching questions and explore issues in a supportive environment. It’s OK to make mistakes but please own your mistakes.
There will be light refreshments at the screenings, vegan contributions are most welcome!
COST of film screenings
All screenings are based on a Pay What You Can sliding scale. You can choose to pay £0-8. Below are suggestions on how to decide what to pay but please be honest with yourself about your situation and what feels possible for you
£0 – I frequently worry about meeting my basic needs and don’t always achieve them
£4 – I sometimes worry about meeting my basic needs but mostly achieve them
£8 – I can comfortably meet all my basic needs and have expendable income
£15 – Solidarity ticket helps to subsidise the cost of the free tickets
ACCESS
All screenings are upstairs in Flourish House 23-25 Ashley Street, Glasgow, G3 6DR. Flourish House is a wheelchair accessible space with a lift. The films will be captioned. Flourish House is a short walk from a First Bus no.4 bus stop and St George’s Cross subway station. There are limited parking spaces directly outside the building along with parking payment meters.
