Scotland and Los Angeles Showcase GFT
Wednesday 15 April, 2026, 5.45 p.m.
A showcase of outstanding animated short films from filmmakers based in Scotland and Los Angeles.
This new partnership between Glasgow Film Festival Industry Focus, Silverlake Shorts, and Animation Scotland brings together creatives from both regions to celebrate grassroots animation and fostering new connections. With screenings taking place in both Glasgow and LA, the collaboration aims to strengthen ties between the two animation communities.
The programme will feature 45 minutes of animated shorts from Scotland and 45 minutes from Los Angeles.
Animated Wednesdays:
As part of GFF’s Animatic Talent Lab, Animated Wednesdays is a quarterly screening series celebrating the world of animation and the growth of Scotland’s animation sector. Each screening will be followed by a networking event, offering audiences the chance to connect with fellow animation enthusiasts and discover the exciting work from across Scotland’s animation industry.
Animatic is made possible due to the generous support of the Scottish Government’s Festival EXPO fund.
