Colonsay Folk Festival
We’re planning to take a trip to Colonsay in September when the island’s very first folk festival will take place from 18th – 21st September.
Sounds like lots of fun with local artists participating in sessions like ‘Teuchters do Dylan’ and the chance to see some major attractions, including: Rallion, Karine Polwart and her band and Anna Massie.
Jim will be performing some of his new acoustic numbers at the Open Stage Event so looking forward to that and the rest of the festival. We’re also excited about our first trip to the island and will be spending some time investigating it and hanging out with Issi and Davie Wilson, who are coming along for the trip.

IN ADDITION TO THE ABOVE THERE WILL BE GUITAR, FIDDLE AND SONGWRITING WORKSHOPS, AT TIMES STILL TO BE ARRANGED. THERE WILL ALSO, UNDOUBTEDLY, BE IMPROMPTU SESSIONS IN THE HOTEL…
Colonsay is a magical island in the Hebrides off the west cvoast of Scotland just north of the Isle of Mull and Iona. It is one of Britain’s most remote communities and has only 100 inhabitants.
