On 25 November 1976 at the Winterland Ballroom in San Francisco, legendary American rock act The Band took to the stage to bid farewell to their fans by performing a rousing concert celebrating their legacy. Over the course of that evening they were joined by luminaries such as Bob Dylan, Neil Young, Emmylou Harris, Ringo Starr, Muddy Waters, The Staple Singers, Eric Clapton and many more. Documented by Martin Scorsese in between Taxi Driver and Raging Bull the film famously starts with the words ‘This film should be played loud!’ and who are we to disagree with those wishes?
