In 2006 the quiet rural town of Ipswich was rocked by the discovery of the bodies of five women. In 2011 director Rufus Norris brought this tale to the National Theatre stage, in the form of a verbatim musical mystery thriller based on interviews with the residents of the real London Road. Original director Norris now brings the drama to the screen, with the help of an all star cast including Tom Hardy and Olivia Colman. A very British look at a community grappling with what it means to be at the epicentre of a tragedy.
