THE MAGIC LANTERN SHOW

Masters of the folk-pop groove, this Glasgow four-piece are back with bright and breezy tunes to fill your summer. Chill out to the laid back harmonies of “Breathe” or stomp your feet to the rip roaring “Breaking the Ice”. (See http//youtu.be/So4Ec6Z093w). It appears a few pirates have joined the good ship Magic Lantern since last time out.
BELMONDO
Tiff Griffin is the creative force behind Belmondo, who are based in Glasgow. Acoustic guitar picking melts with lushly expansive arrangements, gorgeous strings and Griffin’s melancholy vocals, calling to mind Calexico, Scott Walker and King Creosote, while still sounding wholly individual. The end of 2012 saw the self-release of his debut EP, ‘Dressed Up for a Letdown’ .The space and atmosphere created by his music is captivating, creating a beautiful and eerily elegant feeling of emptiness, like walking deserted city streets at 5am.
BRAWTH
Originally a duo, Brawth are now a soup-ergroup; brandishing their highly original blend of dark and mellow alt-folk and delighting audiences live.
