Take 2: Fantastic Mr Fox
Saturday 10 June, 2023 11:30am
Based on the Roald Dahl book, Wes Anderson’s film is full of deadpan banter and clever silliness. After 12 years of bucolic bliss, urbane Mr Fox breaks a promise to his wife and returns to his farm raiding ways. Giving in to his animal instincts endangers not only his marriage but also the lives of his family and their animal friends. When the human farmers force Mr Fox and company deep underground, he has to resort to his natural craftiness to rise above the opposition and use all of his wiles to survive the farmers’ retaliation.
