Suzume (PG) at Glasgow Film Theatre
14 – 20 April, 2023
Glasgow Film Theatre, 12 Rose Street, Glasgow G3 6RB
Director Makoto Shinkai is back with another astonishing adventure. Suzume’s journey begins in a quiet town when she encounters a young man ‘looking for a door’. Suzume finds a single weathered door, standing upright in the midst of ruins as though it was shielded from whatever catastrophe took place. Drawn by its power, she reaches for the knob and a cataclysm of events follows. Now, Suzume must close the portals she has opened to prevent further destruction.
To mark the release of Suzume, we’re also screening Shinkai’s films Your Name and Weathering With You.
