Richard Linklater: Dream is Destiny, GFT, 4 – 7 November, 2016

Highlighting one of the most innovative American directors, this documentary explores the path travelled by the auteur, from his Texas roots to his warm reception on the awards circuit. Richard Linklater’s desire to create fuelled his work outside the Hollywood system, and his ability to showcase realistic characters and tell honest stories soon had others taking notice of his raw talent. Directors Louis Black and Karen Bernstein weave insightful discussions with Linklater amongst testimonies from long-time collaborators to look at his extraordinary career.
