Richard Attenborough Double Bill: Brighton Rock & 10 Rillington Place15
Sunday 5 October
GFT
Richard Attenborough will forever be remembered as one of the most important British actors, producers and directors ever. In tribute to the great screen presence, GFT screens two of his most interesting works – first as the baby-faced antihero Pinkie in 1947’s noir Brighton Rock, before his terrifying depiction of serial killer John Christie in 1971’s 10 Rillington Place. A tribute to Attenborough’s versatility, inventiveness and ability to transform himself into any role, this special screening remembers a cinema great.
Author and Lecturer Andy Dougan will introduce this screening.
