Ostriches Are In The ARC
University of Glasgow, Advanced Research Centre, 11 Chapel Lane, G11 6EW
Speaker: Prof. Christina Young
Ostriches and flowers are in Professor Christina Young’s History of Art lab at the ARC – in paintings and botanical drawings on loan from Argyll & Bute and Kew Gardens. Professor Young will be streaming from her lab, using a combination of optical techniques to research the pigments and artist techniques which have produced the vivid ostriches and subtle colours of the botanical drawings.
Two time slots 10:30am-11:30am and 2:30pm-3:30pm. No booking required!
This event is part of Glasgow Science Festival 2025 which runs from 5 – 15 June
