Opportunity for Young People in Glasgow: Beyond The Finish Line

Beyond the Finish Line

Are you up for the Challenge?

WHAT IS BEYOND THE FINISH LINE?

Beyond The Finish Line is a one year programme to mobilise young people (16-30) in Glasgow to regenerate their local areas by setting up social enterprises to be tested throughout 2014.

They want driven, dynamic young people to come up with social enterprise ideas
that respond to the challenges. We will then offer 10 of them (individuals or teams) the support, mentoring, space and funds they need to test their ideas in the 6 months leading to the Commonwealth Games, with six months further support to becoming sustainable social enterprises, delivering lasting social benefits to local areas.

They have consulted with the people in Glasgow about the social/environmental/community issues that affect their local areas and have framed these as opportunities in the form of Challenges.  If you are motivated to get a social enterprise up and running in 2014, read the Challenges and Apply before the Launch Weekend, starting 21st February.
