Name Me Lawand follows deaf Kurdish refugee Lawand as he struggles to settle into a new home in Yorkshire after a traumatic and turbulent year of seeking asylum through Europe. The film is a moving, impressionistic piece that immerses us in the world of a person void of any language, communication or true sense of self.
