Public Speaking plus Introduction at GFT
Monday 17 July, 2023 8:40pm
We continue our Scorsese of the Month screenings with Public Speaking — introduced and selected by journalist Eilidh Akilade. This feature-length documentary centres on Martin Scorsese’s long-time friend and fellow New Yorker Fran Lebowitz, a writer known for her unique and acerbic take on modern life. Originally screened on television’s HBO in 2010 to critical acclaim, fans of Scorsese — and of Lebowitz — will not want to miss a rare chance to catch Public Speaking on the big screen.
